What the test measures

The test has English Language Arts and Mathematics sections. ELA covers reading comprehension plus revising and editing. Math spans proportional reasoning, number systems, expressions, equations, statistics, probability, and geometry.

A different kind of digital test

Adaptive delivery means question difficulty can respond to a student’s performance. NYCPS has not published enough detail to reproduce its proprietary selection or score conversion systems, so our future adaptive practice will always be labeled as a platform simulation.

Prepare in a useful order

Learn the format first, practice individual skills next, then build stamina through section tests and full simulations. Reviewing why an answer was wrong matters as much as completing another set.
